အရွင္ဘုရား တပည့္ေတာ္ကို အရွင္ဘုရား စြမ္းႏိုင္လို႔ အားမယ္ အဆင္ေျပမယ္ဆိုရင္  အလြယ္ဆုံး အဂၤလိပ္လို ငါးပါးသီလေပးပုံ ေရးေပးပါဘုရား ေက်းဇူးတင္ပါတယ္။        
                 အေဝးေရာက္သူငယ္ခ်င္းကုေဝရ

[[[မွတ္ခ်က္။ ။ငါးပါသီလစသည္ ေပးရာ၌ ပါဠိကိုသာ ပဓာနဆိုေစသင့္၏။ ပါဠိေခၚ မဂဓဘာသာသည္ ဗုဒၶဝါဒ၏အသက္ဟူ၍ပင္ ဆိုႏိုင္ပါ၏။ ကမၼဝါစာ-စသည္တို႔ကို ရြတ္ဖတ္ရာ၌ ပါဠိေခၚ မဂဓဘာသာျဖင့္ ရြတ္ဖတ္ရမည္ဟု ပညတ္ေတာ္မူခဲ့ပါသည္။ ထိုအတူပင္ ပါဠိေခၚ မဂဓဘာသာကို သင္ယူဖူးၾကားဖူးၾကေသာ ဆုေတာင္းရွိဖူးေသာ ပါရမီရွင္တို႔သည္ ရဟႏၲာ+ရဟႏၲာေထရီမ်ား ျဖစ္ရာ၌ ပဋိသမ႓ိဒါေလးပါးႏွင့္တကြ ပါဠိေခၚ မဂဓဘာသာကို သင္စရာမလိုပဲ တတ္ေျမာက္သြားၾကပါသည္။]]]

အႏုဂၢဟံ ကတြာ သီလံ ေဒထ ေမ ဘေႏၲ။

Venerable Sir, I wish to observe the five moral precepts together with the Noble Threefold Refuge.

(For the second time Venerable Sir, --)

ယမဟံ ၀ဒါမိ တံ ၀ေဒထ။
(Repeat the words that I say.)
အာမ ဘေႏၲ
(Yes, Venerable Sir)

နေမာ တႆ ဘဂ၀ေတာ အရဟေတာ သမၼာသဗၼဳဒၶႆ ( သုံးၾကိမ္)
      Homage to the Exalted One, the One worthy of special veneration, and the perfectly self-enlightened One.
      Veneration to the Exalted One, the Homage Worthy and the perfectly self-enlightened One.

ဗုဒၶံ သရဏံ ဂစၦာမိ၊
ဓမၼံ သရဏံ ဂစၦာမိ၊
သံဃံ သရဏံ ဂစၦာမိ၊
I take refuge in the Buddha.
I take refuge in the Dhamma.
I take refuge in the Sam့gha.

ဒုတိယမၸိ ဗုဒၶံ သရဏံ ဂစၦာမိ၊
ဒုတိယမၸိ ဓမၼံ သရဏံ ဂစၦာမိ၊
ဒုတိယမၸိ သံဃံ သရဏံ ဂစၦာမိ၊
For the second time-
I take refuge in the Buddha.
I take refuge in the Dhamma.
I take refuge in the Sam့gha.

တတိယမၸိ ဗုဒၶံ သရဏံ ဂစၦာမိ၊
တတိယမၸိ ဓမၼံ သရဏံ ဂစၦာမိ၊
တတိယမၸိ သံဃံ သရဏံ ဂစၦာမိ၊
For the third time-
I take refuge in the Buddha.
I take refuge in the Dhamma.
I take refuge in the Sam့gha.

'' ပါဏာတိပါတာ ေဝရမဏိသိကၡာပဒံ သမာဒိယာမိ''
1.I shall abstain from killing.
[သတၱဝါ၏ အသက္ကို သတ္ျခင္းမွ ေရွာင္ၾကဉ္ပါ၏။]

''အဒိႏၷာဒါနာ ေဝရမဏိသိကၡာပဒံ သမာဒိယာမိ''
2.I shall abstain from taking what is not given.'
[သူတစ္ပါး၏ ပစၥည္းဥစၥာကို မတရားယူျခင္းမွ ေရွာင္ၾကဉ္ပါ၏]

''ကာေမသုမိစၧာစာရာ ေဝရမဏိသိကၡာပဒံ သမာဒိယာမိ''
3.I shall abstain from illegal sexual conduct.
[ကာမဂုဏ္တို႔၌ မွားယြင္းစြာက်င့္ျခင္းမွ ေရွာင္ၾကဉ္ပါ၏]

'' မုသာဝါဒါ ေဝရမဏိသိကၡာပဒံ သမာဒိယာမိ''
4.I shall abstain from telling lies.
[မမွန္ေသာ စကားကို ေျပာဆိုျခင္းမွ ေရွာင္ၾကဉ္ပါ၏]

'' သူရာေမရယ မဇၨပၸမာဒ႒ာနာ ေဝရမဏိသိကၡာပဒံ သမာဒိယာမိ''
5. I shall abstain from any kind of intoxicant.
[မူးယစ္ေမ့ေလ်ာ့ေစတတ္ေသာ အရက္ေသစာတို႔ကို ေသာက္စားျခင္းမွ ေရွာင္ၾကဉ္ပါ၏]

တိသရေဏန သဟ ပဥၥသီလံ သာဓုကံ ကတြာ ဓမၼံ အပၸမာေဒန သမၸာေဒထ
     (Do observe the five moral precepts together with the Three Refuges with diligence and steadfast mindfulness.)

တနည္း အျပည့္အစုံ

ပါဏာတိပါတာ ေ၀ရမဏိ သိကၡာပဒံ သမာဒိယာမိ၊
1. I undertake to observe well the precept of abstaining from killing any living being.

အဒိႏၷာဒါနာ ေ၀ရမဏိ သိကၡာပဒံ သမာဒိယာမိ။
2. I undertake to observe well the precept of abstaining from stealing other' properties.

ကာေမသုမိစၦာစာရာ ေ၀ရမဏိ သိကၡာပဒံ သမာဒိယာမိ၊
3.I undertake to observe well the precept of abstaining from (committing) sexual misconduct.

မုသာ၀ါဒါ ေ၀ရမဏိ သိကၡာပဒံ သမာဒိယာမိ၊
4. I undertake to observe well the precept of abstaining from telling lies.

သုရာ ေမရယ မဇၨပမာဒ႒ာနာ ေ၀ရမဏိ သိကၡာပဒံ သမာဒိယာမိ၊
5. I undertake to observe well the precept of abstaining from taking intoxicating drinks and drugs.

တိသရေဏန သဟ ပဥၥသီလံ သာဓုကံ ကတြာ ဓမၼံ အပၸမာေဒန သမၸာေဒထ။
     (Do observe the five moral precepts together with the Three Refuges with diligence and steadfast mindfulness.)
