Speaking အတြက္ဝါက်တိုေလးမ်ား (၂၆)

အရင္ post မွာ ဝါက်နံပါတ္ ၇၃၀ မွာရပ္ခဲ့တယ္။ ဒီမွာ ၇၃၁ မွ စလိုက္ၾကစို႔။

၇၃၁။ It is a big responsibility to be the President of a country.
တိုင္းျပည္တစ္ခုရဲ႕ သမၼတလုပ္ရတာ တာဝန္ႀကီးပါတယ္။

၇၃၂။ She used her charm and sweet words to get what she wants.
သူဟာ ဆြဲေဆာင္မႈ ၫွို႔ဓာတ္နဲ႔ စကားခ်ိဳခ်ိဳေလးေတြသံုးၿပီး လိုတာကိုရေအာင္ယူတယ္။

၇၃၃။ Today is a historic day.
ဒီေန႔ဟာ သမိုင္းဝင္ေန႔တစ္ေန႔ပါ။

၇၃၄။ I feel privileged to be chosen for the scholarship abroad.
ျပည္ပ ပညာေတာ္သင္ဆုအတြက္ေရြးခ်ယ္ခံရတာ အခြင့္ထူးေကာင္းခံစားရတယ္လို႔ထင္တယ္။
privilege(noun)= အထူးအခြင့္အေရး
I feel privileged မွာ privileged ဟာ Adjective ပါ။

၇၃၅။ I watch BBC and CNN to keep myself updated.
ေခတ္နဲ႔ မ်က္ေျခမျပတ္ေအာင္ BBC နဲ႔ CNN ကိုၾကည့္တယ္။

.......to stay up-to-date စသည္ျဖင့္ ေခတ္နဲ႔ မ်က္ေျခမျပတ္ေအာင္ ကို အမ်ိဳးမ်ိဳးေျပာင္းသံုးလို႔ရတယ္)

၇၃၆။ Leave the past behind and move on.
အတိတ္ကို အတိတ္မွာထားခဲ့ၿပီး ေရွ႕ဆက္ခ်ီတက္ပါ။

၇၃၇။ The tenant did not get along with the landlord/landlady.
အိမ္ငွားက အိမ္ရွင္နဲ႔ အဆင္မေျပဘူး။

၇၃၈။ I try to see good in everybody.
လူတိုင္းမွာရွိတဲ့ ေကာင္းကြက္ေလးကို ငါျမင္ေအာင္ၾကည့္တယ္။

၇၃၉။ Nothing lasts for ever.
ဘာမွ ထာဝရမၿမဲပါဘူး။
Nothing is permanent. လို႔လည္းေျပာလို႔ရတယ္။

၇၄၀။ He has a full-time job in an office, but he also waits on the tables as a part-time work.
သူဟာရံုးမွာ အခ်ိန္ျပည့္ဝန္ထမ္းအလုပ္ရွိတယ္၊ ဒါေပမဲ့ အခ်ိန္ပိုင္း စားပြဲထိုးအလုပ္လည္းလုပ္ေသးတယ္။

*** စာပြဲထိုး အလုပ္လုပ္သည္ကို wait on the tables လို႔ မွတ္ပါ။
waiter ကေတာ့ စားပြဲထိုးေပါ့။
He works as a waiter လို႔ေျပာရင္ ကိုယ့္အတြက္ေတာ့ မွန္တယ္ထင္ရေပမဲ့ ဗိုလ္ေတြကေတာ့ သူတို႔စကားမွာ wait on the tables လို႔ပဲသံုးၾကတာပါ။ on မထည့္ဘဲနဲ႔ He earns money by waiting the tables. လို႔ သံုးလည္း မွန္ပါတယ္။

၇၄၁။ I am not going to lose my sleep on it.
အဲဒီကိစၥအတြက္ေတာ့ ငါအိပ္ေရးပ်က္ခံၿပီး စဥ္းစားမေနဘူး။
(ဂ႐ုမစိုက္ပါဘူး ဆိုတဲ့သေဘာ။ သိပ္အသံုးမ်ားတဲ့ ဝါက်ေလးပါ)

၇၄၂။ Can I talk with you in private?
မင္းနဲ႔ ငါ ႏွစ္ေယာက္တည္း စကားေျပာလို႔ရမလား။

***in private ႏွစ္ေယာက္တည္း။ ႏွစ္ကိုယ္ၾကား။ သူမ်ားေတြမသိရေအာင္ သီးသန္႔
***in public ကေတာ့ လူပံုအလယ္မွာ ... အားလံုးေရွ႕မွာ ... လူသိရွင္ၾကား

၇၄၃။ Can I see you in private - just the two of us?
မင္းကို သီးသန္႔ေတြ႕လို႔ရမလား၊ မင္းနဲ႔ငါ ႏွစ္ေယာက္တည္း။

၇၄၄။ I have something to confide in you.
မင္းကို ငါ ရင္ဖြင့္ခ်င္တာေလးရွိတယ္။

၇၄၅။ I want you to meet me in person.
မင္းငါ့ကို လူကိုယ္တိုင္လာေတြ႕ပါ။
in person ကိုမွတ္ပါ။

၇၄၆။ He jokingly said that he didn't care.
သူဟာ ရီသလိုေမာသလိုနဲ႔ ဂ႐ုမစိုက္ပါဘူူးလို႔ ေျပာတယ္။

၇၄၇။ Then was then and now is now.
အဲဒီတံုးကနဲ႔ အခုနဲ႔ မတူေတာ့ဘူးကြ။

၇၄၈။ Life is full of shit!
ဘဝဟာ စိတ္ကုန္စရာေတြမ်ားလိုက္တာ။
(ရင္းႏွီးတဲ့သူေတြနဲ႔ပဲသံုးပါ) shit အစား crap သံုးလည္း ရတယ္။

၇၄၉။ Let's call it a day.
ဒီေန႔ေတာ့ ဒီေလာက္နဲ႔ေတာ္လိုက္ၾကရေအာင္။

၇၅၀။ It's all in a day's work.
ဒါ အလုပ္သေဘာအရ လုပ္ေပးရမဲ့ တာဝန္ထဲမွာပါတယ္ေလ။ (မလႊဲမေရွာင္လုပ္ေပးရမဲ့ဟာ)

***Cleaning up after the customers is all in a day's work of a waiter.
စားသံုးသူေတြ ထသြားၿပီးရင္ သန္႔ရွင္းေရးလုပ္ရမွာ စားပြဲထိုးလုပ္ရမဲ့ အလုပ္ထဲမွာ ပါၿပီးသားပါ။

၇၅၁။ He is so grumpy.
သူဟာ သုန္မႈန္ေနတာပဲ။
မ်က္ႏွာ ရႈတည္တည္ႀကီးနဲ႔။

၇၅၂။ Why do you look so glum today?
မင္း ဒီေန႔ဘာလို႔ မွိုင္ေတြေငးငိုင္ေနရတာလဲ။

၇၅၃။ It's a case of sour grapism.
မရႏိုင္မွန္းသိလို႔ မေကာင္းေျပာေနၾကတာပါ။

(အီစြပ္ ပံုျပင္ထဲက စပ်စ္သီးကို မမွီတဲ့ ေျမေခြးဟာ ဒီစပ်စ္သီးေတြဟာ ေကာင္းမွာလည္းမဟုတ္ ခ်ဥ္ေနမွာပါ လို႔ေျပာသလိုမ်ိဳး။ ေျမေခြးက Those grapes must be sour,anyway. လို႔ေျပာခဲ့တာကို မွတ္မိၾကမွာပါ။)

၇၅၄။ A friend in need is a friend indeed.
လိုအပ္ေနခ်ိန္မွာ ကူညီသူဟာ မိတ္ေဆြစစ္ပါ။

၇၅၅။ It's impossible to know everything under the sun.
ဒီ ကမ႓ာေလာကႀကီးထဲမွာ ဘာမဆိုအကုန္သိတယ္ဆိုတာ မျဖစ္ႏိုင္ပါဘူး။

၇၅၆။ Wow! It's a small world.
အိုး...မင္းနဲ႔ငါ ၾကံဳၾကျပန္ၿပီ၊ ျပန္ေတြ႕ၾကျပန္ၿပီ။

၇၅၇။ Fancy meeting you here!
မင္းနဲ႔ ဒီမွာဆံုရမယ္လို႔ မေမွ်ာ္လင့္ထား၊ အံ့ၾသလိုက္တာ။

၇၅၈။ We'll never stop bumping into each other like this!
မင္းနဲ႔ငါ ဒီလိုပဲ ေနရာတကာမွာ မထင္မွတ္ဘဲ အၿမဲဆံုမိၾကမယ္နဲ႔တူတယ္။
(ေစာေစာေလးကပဲ ဟိုလမ္းေထာင့္မွာေတြ႕ခဲ့ၾက၊ ေဟာ အခုျပန္ေတြ႕ၾကျပန္ၿပီ။ မသိရင္ခ်ိန္းထားသလို...အဲဒီလိုအေျခအေနမွာသံုးတဲ့စကား)

၇၅၉။ I bumped into an old classmate downtown yesterday.
မေန႔က အတန္းေဖၚသူငယ္ခ်င္းေဟာင္းတစ္ေယာက္ကို ၿမိဳ႕ထဲမွာ အမွတ္မထင္ဆံုခဲ့တယ္။
bump into someone= run into someone မထင္မွတ္ဘဲ ဆံုသည္

၇၆၀။ The student gets easily distracted.
ေက်ာင္းသားဟာ အာရံုၾကာၾကာမစိုက္ႏိုင္ဘူး။
The student cannot stay focussed. လို႔လည္းေျပာလို႔ရပါတယ္။

ေျပာေနက်အတိုင္းထပ္ေျပာလိုက္ပါရေစ......
ဝါက်ေလးေတြကို အသံထြက္ၿပီး ထပ္ခါထပ္ခါဖတ္။ အလြတ္ရေအာင္မွတ္ၾကပါ။
